Hello Sheeba,

This year has certainly been a challenging year. I can easily and quickly recount several troubling events throughout the past twelve months; starting with the heartbreaking fires that decimated areas in California to the ongoing struggles of the pervasive Covid pandemic.

However, the holiday season begs for reflection of a different kind. Even after a year like this past one, something about this time of year inspires us to focus and reflect on our lives, both professionally and personally. Even in the midst of challenging times, I find there are still things to give thanks for and celebrate.

So, I ask you: What are the good things that 2020 has brought to you?

Maybe remote work has led to innovations for your business that you wouldn't have realized otherwise. Perhaps,  there have been weddings or graduations that felt a bit different, but were meaningful on a different level than previously experienced before. Maybe you saw your team step up in unexpected and wonderful ways.  Or maybe social distancing has reminded you to cherish your loved ones just a little bit more.

Did you have any personal victories? Any achievements that brought you particular joy? What is one thing that you can look back on and smile?

I can look back on this year and celebrate all the trainings that I facilitated and the different clients I had a chance to work with one-on-one. I mentored numerous coaches looking to get credentialed with the International Coach Federation. During the quieter times earlier this year, I decided to write a book and that is now in the final stages and it should come out next year. Personally, we celebrated my son's graduation from high school, my husband's 50th birthday, and our 25th wedding anniversary. Needless to say, it was a year full of milestones. Apart from all of this, I am celebrating the peace I have in the midst of these crazy times.

From my family to yours, I want to wish you a very happy holiday and a wonderful New Year!

Inspiring You To Thrive,

This includes your employees. And it goes triple this year when stress levels are already sky-high. So, go a little easier on everyone, check in often, and be sure that you are giving yourself plenty of self-care, too.

LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT

Authenticity50

Authenticity50 is a small, family-owned company based in California makes bedding and other home goods. They take pride in the fact that all of their products are sourced, manufactured, and distributed in the United States. Like so many other small businesses this year, they took a hit when the Covid pandemic shut down the economy.

When faced with the prospect of shutting down their manufacturing center, they opted for innovation. They decided to make masks out of their bedding materials.

The decision meant that their employees didn't have to lose work, and they have donated over 20,000 masks to frontline workers across their county.
