A note from Sheeba

Hello Sheeba!

Well, we are almost half way through February! How are all the goals, intentions and things you said you wanted to do differently in the new year working out for you?

It is very easy to give up when things don't go the way we think it should. It is also easy to give up when we don't see the results right away. My encouragement to you is to continue taking those small steps.

In this newsletter, I talk about procrastination and there is a webinar that I will be facilitating next week. We all procrastinate in some shape or form. However, when this becomes our constant way of being, it will affect us, the people that surround us, our jobs, our teams and those goals and intentions you have created for this year.

So, take a look at what you might be procrastinating on today and see how this might be affecting your way of life.

Inspiring You To Thrive,

LEADERSHIP

The first step toward stopping the procrastination cycle is to prioritize your task list.  Follow the simple instructions below to stop the overwhelm and becoming more productive today.

How to Prioritize

First, determine which tasks are urgent with an upcoming deadline and consequences if left undone. Next, ascertain what is important and must be done, but has no current pressing deadline. Any remaining tasks can be lumped into a non-obligatory category for now that will require your attention last. Then review your list and ask yourself these questions:

  • What absolutely needs to get done today?
  • Which of these tasks is most important?
  • Can anything be delegated?

The simple act of organizing your task list can help activate you and make you feel more focused.  For more helpful tips on how to overcome procrastination and become a more effective leader, register for my webinar below:
