A note from Sheeba
Hello Sheeba!
Collaboration is a critical element towards the health and productivity of any team. It is cultivated through great leadership, clear expectations, and trust between one another while embracing your function within the team. If there is a gap in any part of this foundation, you will also find collaboration impacted too.
Take a moment and consider the team you are a part of right now. A team is comprised of more than one person. Are you part of a team at work, school, home, in a small office or within a large organization? Do you have multiple teams that you are involved in?
How would you rate the collaboration within your team? What are areas to strengthen? What kind of support would be valuable to raise the level of collaboration within your team?
Take time to reflect on these questions. Your teams will thank you when you do.
Thrive in your leadership,
LEADERSHIP
Effective collaboration can lead to more creativity and engagement within your team by including many different perspectives, experiences, and thought processes.
In order to ensure that the collaboration works smoothly, remember to allow space for different ideas, set a clear goal, and be open to compromise.
How might implementing more collaboration impact your team?
COACHING
A great way to continue learning as a coach is to receive mentor coaching. I will be hosting the last Mentor Coaching Group for this year beginning in August.
The Mentor Coaching Group format gives you the opportunity to:
- Complete the 7 hours of mentor coaching required by the ICF
- Improve your coaching skills
- Gain continuing education credits if you don't need mentoring hours
- Listen to different coaching styles
- Understand the coaching competencies in relation to your coaching
