A note from Sheeba

Hello Sheeba!

March is a special month in our house because it is our son's birthday. He turned 20 this year!! I can't believe we have a son who is 20!! It was fun celebrating him and the man he is becoming.

You know as children get older, we get the opportunity as parents to get curious and simply listen. We have for so long offered advice but as they enter adulthood, I feel it is best to practice listening more and remaining in that place of curiosity so they can make their own decisions. This is also true in our professional places too. How many times have you listened  with some preconceived notion in your mind, perhaps some judgement or thoughts around how you were going to respond? This type of listening will only get you so far in your professional and personal lives.

My invitation to you is to be curious  and notice the shift within you when you begin to do that.

So, a couple of things that are coming up that I would like to highlight are the following:

 - I will be hosting my next webinar, 'Minimize Conflict and Communicate Effectively' in May.  Join me for another fun and interactive webinar!

- I have a survey below that I would love for you to complete.  This will help me understand what kinds of topics you might want to learn more about in a future webinar.

- I have had a number of coaches reach out to me about mentoring because your renewal is coming up. The next mentoring group will begin in April. See details below.

 Inspiring You To Thrive,

LEADERSHIP

Constructive feedback is such an important part of leadership. When you begin from a place of curiosity, it can totally shift the conversation. You can do this by beginning sentences with:

"Tell me more....

"Help me understand..."

"I am curious, how that choice affected ....."

"Share your experience around...."

"What did you find challenging..."
