A note from Sheeba

Hello Sheeba!

Happy New Year! I find it exciting to begin another year because I know that each year brings with it its challenges, celebrations, new learning, deeper relationships and some that end, as well. Life is truly a journey, isn't it?

So, what is in store for you in 2019?  Well, wouldn't we all want to know the answer to that??!!

One thing I know for sure is that we all get the opportunity to attend life differently than the previous year. It is a choice we get to make.

I love the word, intention, because as Merriam-Webster defines it, it is a "determination to act in a certain way". What is the determination you would like to make this year in your life? You can live at the effect of life or you can determine to live by making conscious choices.

Be Intentional and Thrive,

LEADERSHIP

What is Intentional Leadership? For me, it involves purposeful focus on what you are going to place your attention on within your sphere.

You can just live one day rolling into the next or you can be intentional with your personal and professional growth. I am certain that when you make that shift, you will begin to see differences in your life. It is a choice that you make and continue to make every day.

So, what is one change you can choose today so you can live and lead more intentionally?

COACHING

Seek quality over quantity by being intentional with how you spend your time, resources, and those you want to develop relationships with in your life.

Practice mindfulness by being intentional on becoming aware of your thoughts, biases, judgements and beliefs that can impact the way you engage the world.

Align behaviors with beliefs by being intentional with how you relate and interact with others daily.

"Business owners have to deal with many concerns on a daily basis, from finances to customer service. But many of them unintentionally overlook the internal issues in their company, and only learn about problems on their team when someone submits their resignation.

This helps you catch the signs of an unhappy team member early so you can attempt to intervene and retain that person. Below, 14 Forbes Coaches Council members offered their tips for encouraging employees to voice concerns before it’s too late..." Read More...
